Chiharu Shiota: Beyond Time
A cat’s cradle of a structure from which emerges the outline of a piano or would it have once been an organ that played hymns for the Lord of the Manor or more recently the staff and students of Bretton Hall College. Amongst the woven web we spot musical scores and an order of service.
When looking through the latest RPS Contemporary newsletter this morning, I began to think about how I often take photographs of the people who visit exhibitions as well as photographs of the actual exhibits. This sparked a train of thought linked to developing a new project around the theme of people and exhibitions. A quick search of my archive unearthed quite a few possible candidates for inclusion in such a project. A new post, I think, which in turn might form the basis of a first project on my Project Gallery page.
